Everyday I’m Tackling
Everyday I’m Tackling is inspired by LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem song “Everyday I’m Shufflin”. Founded by Gabriel Zakuani, the slogan is a fun way of tackling issues people come across in everyday life, such as racism, bullying and other prejudices. From its successful inception as an App, “Everyday I’m tackling” has grown into a worldwide selling brand, available online from an independent T-Shirt retailer.
Tackle AfricaTackle Africa uses football coaching to educate young Africans about sexual health, relationships and HIV. Its aim is to teach young people how to avoid getting HIV, how to live with HIV if you have it, and how to support others to do the same. Their education is done on the pitch through unique interactive football drills, so young people enjoy, understand, learn and remember.
The Free Kicks Foundation’s aim is to provide football-related activities for ill, bereaved and disadvantaged children, to give them a day to remember with their favourite football club.
The charity is run on a voluntary basis and ensure that the children have a day to remember.
Tackle Africa: Ghana June 2013
TeamIMANI® alongside Gabriel Zakuani and other athletes will visit various projects in Accra and Tamale, Northern Ghana, this June. These include:
• Participation in football coaching which delivers HIV education to young people in their communities on regular basis and will be encouraged by this visit.
• Various clubs, schools and academies will be visited and given new kit.
• There will be a visit to an orphanage in Ghana where basic food provisions will be given to the children.
Chibsah foundation is a non-profitable organization, with a mission to help today’s youth become tomorrow’s successful leaders. The foundation has three projects already established:
Kick “n” learn project: assisting young talented students with a keen interest in sports to develop careers in this field through scholarship placements in secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
Water for life project: Seeks to provide portable and healthy drinking water to communities whose inhabitants have to travel hundreds of miles just for water.
Health for all project: The Health for All project seeks to provide free medical care by registering poor people living in deprived rural areas under the national health insurance scheme.
Kits4Causes is a charity that collects unwanted football equipment and distributes it to social development projects around the world. Since its creation in 2009, over 17,000 shirts and countless other thousands of items of football equipment have been donated to projects in 19 different countries spanning four continents.
The kits have been used in a variety of different ways, from encouraging improved school attendances to helping break down the stigma of HIV/AIDs and aiding the development of NFP football academies. A football kit is so much more than just an item of clothing, it can be hope and inspiration, encouraging drive and commitment.
